Presentation

As part of the 30th anniversary of the city's archaeology centre

For nearly fifteen centuries, the city of Orléans was enclosed by a wall to protect it from invaders. The city developed both inside and outside the wall. Archaeological work over the last 30 years has given us a better understanding of this development. Come and take a journey through the city's history.
This tour is organised in partnership with the Archaeology Unit of Orléans City Council.
Please note that this tour covers a fairly wide area of the town. Good walking shoes are essential.
